CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE
The class starts with mobilizing and stretching exercises and builds gradually up to floor work leading to very physical and dynamic phrases. We will deal with ways we can organize our body so we can be more efficient, faster and smother in moving into and out of the floor. We will use the gravity and the floor as dance partners that can support us and allow us to both bring our body out of balance and propel us to high jumps. In the class the participants are encouraged to take risks and explore their physicality, and by using their strengths to challenge their weak points.

PARTNERING
It is exciting to dance with other people. In this workshop we will explore ways improve our corporeal awareness in connection with a partner.
The workshop starts with a good warm up of all the joins and the muscles of our body and with exercises to get familiar with our dance partner. Getting familiar with the body of our partner is essential in order to be able later to trust our weight, our self in the hands of another person. Strengthening is essential for partnering. The progresses with simple exercises of receiving weight and moving as a couple or small groups to more complex acrobatic exercises that lead gradually to the final partnering combination of the class.
